Geographic Restrictions
Where Orobas is and is not available. Final eligibility determined at mainnet launch per legal review.
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Status — devnet beta
Orobas is currently in devnet beta. The Service does not involve real money, real-money wagering, or any blockchain that handles mainstream value. The geographic restrictions below are provisional and become enforceable at mainnet launch. Final eligibility for any jurisdiction will be determined at mainnet launch per legal review.
If you are in a jurisdiction that is excluded at mainnet launch, you will not be able to register for, deposit to, or wager on the Service. Your access will be blocked at the network edge based on the country derived from your IP address.
Legend
United States — by state
The U.S. regulates gambling at the state level. Many states have carve-outs for skill-based contests; some allow real-money chess or fantasy-sports contests while excluding coinflip-style games. Some states regulate event-betting under sports-betting frameworks. The classification of each Orobas mode under each state's law will be determined before mainnet. [LEGAL REVIEW: per-state classification of (a) coinflip — likely 50-state excluded as a game of pure chance, (b) chess — likely allowed in most states as a game of skill, (c) events — depends on sports-betting framework and oracle nature]

International
The classification of each Orobas mode under each country's law will be determined before mainnet. Some jurisdictions require local licensing for any wagering operator regardless of the underlying technology; we will not operate in those jurisdictions without a license. OFAC sanctions
The Service is not available to any person or entity located in, ordinarily resident in, or under the control of a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions (currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea region of Ukraine, the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, and any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions). It is also not available to any individual or entity listed on the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
We screen wallet addresses and registration data against applicable sanctions lists. Attempting to use the Service while subject to sanctions is a violation of these terms and may be a violation of applicable law.
No VPN / proxy circumvention
You agree not to use a virtual private network (VPN), proxy server, Tor, or any other technology to obscure your true location to circumvent geographic restrictions. Doing so:
- Is a material breach of our Terms of Service.
- May result in account closure and forfeiture of pending wagers and balances.
- May constitute fraud or a violation of applicable wagering or anti-money-laundering law in your real jurisdiction.
We use a layered geolocation approach (IP-country via Cloudflare, KYC residence confirmation through Persona, and behavioral signals) to detect circumvention attempts. We may require additional verification at any time.
Why does this list change?
Wagering regulation is updated frequently. New state-level laws, federal guidance, court decisions, and international regulatory changes can shift a jurisdiction's status. We update this page when our classification changes for a jurisdiction. Materially restrictive changes (e.g. moving a jurisdiction from allowed to excluded) will be notified to affected users by email.
